Catskill Waters (2017–present) is a community-based art project about the stories from the residents in the New York City watersheds located in the Catskill Mountains. The first step is to collect stories and transform them into various formats for sharing; in the second stage, a team of artists weave these stories into multimedia artworks.

It is as much as an art project as a social and economic experiment. It is funded by a governmental agency, supervised by non-profits, and involve many community members especially artists. It is a project that brings disparate communities together with the transformative power of art; creates jobs that align with artists’ skills and interests; and build social capital while strengthening community networks.
